Duo Romance
René Hernandez, French of Spanish descent is a Musician and Compositor. He is a lead Singer, Keyboard player & Guitarist. Artists covered include Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Chris Rea. Joe Cocker, Ray Charles etc.,
Tracie O'Sullivan, British of Irish descent, is a contemporary and classically trained vocalist. Artists covered are Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Abba, Carpenters, Elaine Paige, Sarah Brightman. etc.,
Romance are an International Duet. They are Multi-Lingual, and sing in English, Spanish, French, Italian & German. They have performed worldwide, for Cruise Lines and numerous Top International Hotels such as the Hilton Chain of Singapore,Bahrain, Turkey, Morocco etc.
Romance are a versatile duo and perform songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's etc., which include a variety of styles ranging from Evergreens, Jazz & Country to Rock, Pop, Disco, Latin & Ballroom. They have an eclectic Repertory of well over 600 songs, enabling them to cater to most musical tastes and welcome song requests from the audience

BIOGRAPHY
The couple's whirlwind romance, began, during a Caribbean cruise, on the ill-fated vessel the M.S. Angelina Lauro. At this time, René was the lead singer & Guitarist of a 4-piece French Band called The Musketeers, originating from Paris. Tracie, who became a singer, after, meeting René, was a Beauty Therapist, from London and Manageress of the Ship's Beauty Salon. On 30th March 1979, a fire broke out, in the crew galley whilst the Anglelina was moored at Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The ship was destroyed and sadly, the couple were momentarily, separated. René went to live in Philadelphia and Tracie returned to her family home, in Hertfordshire. Later, the couple were reunited, in Paris, where they formed the Duo Romance. Shortly, afterwards, René was contracted to perform at Hotel Intercontinental's Golf Hotel, in Abidjan, on the West Coast of Africa. The couples first contract performing together, as the Duo Romance, was at the Hotel Malabata, Tangiers, Morocco, followed by the Hotel Hilton Rabat, Morocco. This was succeeded a series of contracts for numerous five star hotels throughout the world.
The couple later married and made their home, in the South of France. During which time René became an official Impressario and opened an Entertainment Agency called Inter-Artistes, in Super Cannes, Vallauris, on the French Riviera. This venture lasted five years, during which time their son Mikael Joseph Terence Hernandez was born.
Afterwards, they left la côte d'azur for the French Alpes where they lived for 3 years. They opened a Luxurious Piano Bar called Le Crystal, which was located, on the top floor of the 3 star Hotel Ariane, in the Village du Clos des Fond, in the sking resort Les Deux Alpes.
After this, they left France to live in Morocco for a couple of years, as they were contracted to perform for several five star hotels, in Morocco, in the towns of Casablanca, Rabat, Fez and Agadir
The Duo Romance, lived in Tenerife for 10 years, before coming to mainland spain. They performed in a variety of Top Hotels in the North and South of Tenerife, including the Hotel El Tope in Puerto de la Cruz, where they remained the resident band for 7 years.

René Hernandez is a highly acclaimed French, musician & compositor. In the mid 70's he was assigned to the Philips Recording Studios, in Paris. And recorded under the pseudonym Joël Joffrin, a name dirivitive of the Jules Joffrin Metropolitan Station in the Clignancourt district, of Montmartre. Largely influenced by such legendary artists as Billy Cobham, Herbie Hancock, John Maclaughlin, Al Jarreau and Gino Vanellli, René's music was to be a fusion of jazz and rock. He released two 45 rpm singles:-
- A Side - Le Jour ou l'on s'est connue. B Side - Ne me dits pas que tu t'en vas
- A Side- Toi une Femme. B Side -Dans les Clous

The Duo Romance perform every friday evening from 9h until midnight, at the Restaurant La Salamandra, Meeting point l'andrago, ctra Moraira- Calpe km 1.9, Moraira. This Restaurant is one of a chain of 3 located, in the pretigious l'andrago complex. It is situated on the seafront with breathtaking views over the bay of Moraira. U3A VALL DEL POP - MAY BALL
The Duo Romance will be performing for the U3A Vall del Pop's May Ball. The May ball which has been organized by Anne & Mike Hawkins will take place on Friday 28th may at the Salones Fillol's, in Pego.
U3A JAVEA - SUMMER BALL
The Duo Romance will be performing for the U3A Javea's Summer Ball. The summer ball is organized by Angela Chantry and will be held on Friday 24th September 2010 at El Canor, Teulada
